I, Arka Ankit Chowdhury Gupta, graduated in the year 2020 as an automotive designer during the times of COVID. Since I was a kid, I was always fascinated by cars and their aesthetics which drove me to join Ajeenkya DY Patil University to do my B.Des. in automobile design. These four years have been an enlightening and overwhelming journey with exposure to various aspects of design including tools needed to design starting from Adobe to AutoCAD to Blender.
During this discovery phase of the design world, I got interested in UI/UX, Graphics Design, Interaction Design or visual communication; perse and also video editing. After my graduation, I worked with various startups and design firms across India.
Before specialising in Service Design, I had experience as a visual communication designer. Within all these different settings, I have been working with different stakeholders and people like designers, salespersons, developers, clients and the marketing team.
Having worked in various areas I got to understand the macro and holistic view that a designer needs to have - service design surely helped me to connect the dots between the design process and creative implementation.
As a multidisciplinary designer passionate about service design and with a deep interest in a space where strategy, creativity & technology overlap I always remain excited about new opportunities to explore learn & create meaningful user experiences.
